When the Rebel God leaves the Twins: Uranus Retrograde in Gemini.

On the evening of September 6th 2025, Uranus turns his face backward in the sign of Gemini. The God of sudden storms and trembling earth begins to retrace his steps through Mercury’s airy halls, where words scatter like birds and thought itself takes wing. Retrograde, he does not lose his power, but rather turns it inward, pulling our gaze to the places where the mind resists the unexpected, where ideas bend or break under lightning’s touch.

In Gemini, Uranus carries the voice of the higher mind into the labyrinth of human thought. Here, Mercury rules, quick and restless, delighting in riddles and shifting truths. Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, is no ordinary guest. He is the fire from beyond, the collective vision, the divine intellect that does not ask permission before it shatters old patterns. When these two archetypal forces meet, the dialogue is electric. The child of the street corner and the God of the heavens sit at the same table, arguing, laughing, and breaking bread.

Uranus bids goodbye to Gemini's playful nature, as Taurus invites with its steadfast pace.

Yet the journey is not confined to Gemini. By November 7th 2025, Uranus will step back into Taurus, the fertile earth he has known well since May of 2018 until July 2025. Now he will revisit the Taurus soil, the stone, the body, the place where Uranus has tested foundations for years, shaking what once seemed unshakable. In this return, he remembers the cracks he made in rigid ground, the way he taught roots to bend when the winds of change grew strong. Until February 3rd 2026, his retrograde continues here, pulling us back to the themes of stability, value, and the slow courage of transformation.

Uranus moves direct once more and out of Taurus, he prepares his long stay in Gemini, beginning April 25th 2026. From then until 2033, he will write his story in air rather than earth, dissolving certainties not through quakes of the body but through storms of thought. The higher mind will dance through human speech, invention, and imagination. A rebellion of words, of ideas, of connections not yet conceived will echo across these years.

It is as if Uranus, the Titan who carries lightning in his hands, first tested the ground, breaking it open so new life might grow. Now he turns toward the sky, to the restless winds of Gemini, where thought itself becomes the field of his revolution.
