A Door Reopened.

Last month, on August 23rd, the first new moon in Virgo arrived, opening a door to beginnings shaped by detail, devotion, and discernment. Now, on September 21st 2025, we meet a rare second new moon in Virgo. To have two new moons in the same sign is like returning to a threshold we thought we had already crossed. It invites us to notice what remained unfinished, what still asks for attention, and how cycles of intention often need more than one breath to truly take root.

The Shadow’s Release.

On the very same day, the sky also carries the shadow of a solar eclipse aligned with the South Node in Virgo. In western astrology, the South Node often speaks of release, of stories that have carried us far but no longer hold the same weight. The eclipse amplifies this moment, suggesting that something long woven in the fabric of our lives may be loosening, making space for what is yet to come.

Shadow and light, beneath the glow of the new moon, Spring and Autumn meet. She, with blossom in her hair, and he, with leaves of amber, entwine their love as the eclipse crowns their eternal union.

The Balance of Light and Dark.

September 21st also brings the equinox. In the southern hemisphere, spring stirs with soft beginnings. In the northern hemisphere, autumn gathers what has ripened and prepares for rest. Light and darkness stand equal, reminding us that every beginning carries an ending, and every ending holds a seed of beginning. It is a mirror of balance, asking us to hold both the tenderness of letting go and the quiet promise of renewal.

An Invitation to the Threshold.

To have all these thresholds converge on a single day is not something to rush through. The sky is not telling us what to do, but it does reflect the mystery of cycles folding into each other. Perhaps this is a time to pause, to notice what chapters are closing, what stories are calling to be remembered, and what new seeds long to be planted in the turning of the season.

Much love to all, Valentina.
