Today, September 24th 2025, Mars begins his slow descent into the sign of Scorpio, the ancient home he rules in his feminine, watery form. He will walk these shadowed halls until November 4th.

Mars is often remembered in his fiery armor, sharp, direct, unyielding, when at home in Aries, his masculine house. But in Scorpio, his presence shifts. Here, he does not charge forward with brute force. He enters cloaked, mysterious, holding a fire that burns silently beneath the surface. In Scorpio, Mars is patient, calculating, and deeply aware of what lies hidden. His weapons are not sheer strength, but intuition, strategy, and the unflinching capacity to walk into places others fear to tread.

In the shadowed depths where passions ignite, she stands, Mars as her mystical femme fatale in Scorpio. Her eyes aglow with the enigma of blue flames and secrets untold.

This is Mars as the dark water, a current that pulls us into the unseen, into secrets, into the underworld of our own psyches. It is vengeful at times, yes, but also profoundly transformative. Where Aries Mars is action in the daylight, Scorpio Mars is power in the shadows. Both are fierce, but this one moves in silence, with eyes fixed on what cannot be ignored.

The gifts of this passage are as potent as they are unsettling. Scorpio Mars awakens a psychic pulse, sharpening instincts, calling forth raw passion and the drive to reach the very core of things. It does not settle for surfaces. It digs until the truth, however difficult, is found. This is a transit of deep desire, of confrontation with what has been buried, and of the possibility of profound rebirth.

And yet, the road is not without its tension. On this very day, as Mars steps into Scorpio, he forms a square to Pluto, the modern ruler of the sign, now stationed in Aquarius. It is a clash between two guardians of transformation: Mars, wielding personal will and shadowed intensity; Pluto, carrying collective upheaval and the relentless push toward evolution. This square may stir power struggles, confrontations with authority, or sudden eruptions from what has been suppressed. It asks us to notice where control, fear, or hidden motives are shaping our choices.

October, then, will not be a quiet month. As Mars swims through Scorpio’s waters, the air grows thick with mystery and anticipation. The veils between the worlds grow thinner with each passing day, culminating in the sacred nights of late October and early November. Halloween on October 31st, Samhain on November 1st, and All Souls’ Day on November 2nd: a trinity of thresholds where the presence of the unseen is palpable. It is no coincidence these nights fall in Scorpio’s realm. Death, remembrance, and the eternal cycle of loss and renewal are Scorpio’s very heart.

Mars here does not simply remind us of endings. He holds the torch of transformation, demanding we face what must die within us so something truer can take its place. The season asks: what is ready to be released? What secret is waiting to be spoken? What part of you is ready to be reborn?

This is not an easy passage, but it is an honest one. Mars in Scorpio carries us to the edges of ourselves, to the places where power, desire, and mortality all meet. If we walk with him carefully, the journey may not only strip us bare, it may also set us free.

Much love to all, Valentina.
