On December 21st 2025, we arrive at the Winter and Summer Solstice, a sacred turning point
of the year where light pauses and changes direction. This moment has been honored across
time as a threshold between what has been and what is becoming, a quiet breath in the cosmic rhythm where opposites meet without conflict.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the solstice marks the longest night of the year. Darkness reaches
its deepest point, not as an ending, but as a womb. This is the moment when the light is reborn, fragile yet certain. Winter teaches patience, rest, and trust in unseen growth. It is a season that invites introspection, slowing down, and tending to what lives beneath the surface. The return
of the light begins softly here, reminding us that renewal often starts in silence.
In the Southern Hemisphere, the solstice arrives as the height of summer, the longest day,
where light stands fully embodied. This is a celebration of life in motion, of warmth, visibility, and expression. Summer invites expansion, joy, and presence. Yet even here, at the peak of brightness, the light begins its gentle descent, whispering that all fullness carries within it the seed of change. Growth is savored, not rushed, knowing the cycle will turn again.
On this same day, just before the solstice opens, the Sun meets Mercury in Sagittarius in a luminous Cazimi. Thought and light merge, offering clarity of vision, meaning, and understanding. It is as if the story of the year is briefly illuminated, allowing us to recognize what we have learned and what truths are ready to be carried forward.
After this moment of illumination, the Sun crosses into Capricorn, opening the solstice and beginning a new solar season. Capricorn grounds the light, asking us to embody wisdom through responsibility, patience, and devotion. What was envisioned now seeks form. What was inspired now asks for commitment. The solstice becomes not only a turning of light, but a call to build
what can last.
Just two days earlier, on December 19th, we experienced the New Moon in Sagittarius, planting seeds of intention, hope, and direction. That lunation opened the heart toward possibility and truth, preparing the inner landscape for this solstice passage.
As the season continues, Venus will join the Sun and Mars in Capricorn on December 24th, the night of Christmas Eve. Love, desire, and action align with purpose, inviting us to express care through presence, loyalty, and tangible devotion. This moment reminds us that love does not disappear in winter, it deepens, becomes quieter, and learns how to endure.
The Winter and Summer Solstice is a meeting point between longing and fulfillment, between
rest and growth. It reminds us that light and dark are not opposites, but partners in an eternal dance, each shaping the other with devotion.
May you honor the quiet turning within. Allow the light you carry find its way home, gently
and in its own time.
