On August 23rd 2025, the Moon slips into darkness in Virgo, and something rare begins. This is not an ordinary new moon. It is the first of two that will take place in the same sign, as if the sky wished to draw a mirrored reflection, a twin story written in shadow and light.
The first new moon is an opening, a quiet inhale. It arrives in Virgo, the sign of the weaver, the one who notices the threads that hold daily life together. In this sign the new moon does not speak loudly of grand beginnings, but rather of the subtle ones, the first words of a prayer, the careful rearranging of the small rituals that carry us from day to day, the way a seed settles unseen beneath the soil.

Yet this new moon does not stand alone. It comes as the prelude to eclipse season, a liminal pause before the currents quicken. On September 7t 2025,, a full moon lunar eclipse will bloom in Pisces, drawing attention to dreams, endings, and the places where we must surrender what cannot be held. Then, on September 21st 2025, the second new moon in Virgo will arrive, this time as a solar eclipse. Where the first Virgo moon plants a beginning, the second will close a door, asking for a release that has been long prepared.
These two moons in Virgo are like twins, facing one another across a river of time. The first carries something new to be woven into the fabric of life. The second will unravel a thread that is ready to be let go. Together they remind us that birth and release are not separate stories but two halves of the same breath.
This first black moon is a doorway only half open. It is the soft turning of a key, the hush before a song is sung, the moment when silence itself becomes sacred. It invites us to lean into the details, to notice what is stirring quietly within, and to prepare with patience for the deeper shifts that will follow.
The night may seem still, but already the path is unfolding.
Much love to all, Valentina.
